If the best fitness radio station cares about your health as much as we do, that would be a surprise... so today we are going to talk about someone who has ALWAYS inspired us to keep going and eat right... Dr. Josh Axe... www.DrAxe.com - It has so many recipes that will help you achieve your goals. Just this one clip from his book "Super Foods, Super You" really hit me today.


"Isn't it frightening to learn a loved one has a serious health problem like cancer, heart disease or diabetes? Five of six americans die of heart disease or cancer, diabetes has tripled in the past ten years and by 2025 it's estimated that 50% of all americans will be obese! People are in great danger today and desperately need a hear... that hero is superfood."


We couldn't have put it any better but what bodily villain aare you battling? Weight Gain? Lack of Energy? Degestive problems? No matter the issue, superfoods can help you win. His book is filled with a bunch of interesting information. He had a great radio show, I'mnot even sure it is still on the air anymore. He's seen thousands of people achieve their health goals through his radio show, books and seminars. Everyone from stay at home mom's to olympic level athletes... he even has a couple of cool photos with Michael Phelps and a few other olympians. He was their health coach so if that isn't a good feather in your cap... I'm not sure what is.


If you aren't currently eating super foods... you should if you want to maximize your time here on this earth. Super foods are foods that are high in vitamins, minerals, omega 3 fatty acids, proibotics, or anti-oxidants. He goes onto mention

Sometimes foods can act as a team of hockey players, avengers, x-men, or power rangers depending on how you want to look at it. I know one thing I've struggled with is always having that tight skin body look... I have always just had this layer of fat on me... Well I found the solution to that too... It's copious amounts of Cardio... My favorite cardio is a triathlon... Swimming, Riding a bike and running all at race pace will scortch the fat right off your body. Throw in some Murph Workout radio blasting through your speakers and all of a sudden you have yourself a really good time... Nothing like showing up to the beach path super early before everybody is out and juts hauling ass down an open bike path with no people on it... SO MUCH FUN. I wish I lived at the beach... that way I wouldn't be restricted by stupid parking laws like you can't show up before 6am. I have started to really get into Mass Calorie Burn Weekends... where we go burn 6,000 or 7,000 calories a day. I realize that everyone has different health goals but we also offer a ton on other radio stations... to help you meet your health goals... but cycling and lifting weights... just makes people sexy... it's so true. Don't cycle without music though... there are some hard core cyclists out there who claim music is distracting but that's all nonsense from people who don't have souls. The best workout music has the ability to push you, motivate you, and keep you moving through even the toughest times... like cycling... if you're moving fast... you just have this intense burning sensation in your legs the ENTIRE time. So keep that in mind.

If you are feeling weighed down and sluggish, it may be time for my secret detox drink, which can help cleanse your body and make you feel rejuvenated. For many years, I’ve added detox drinks to my health regime because as toxins leave my body, I feel clear-headed and energized. Plus, recipes like this one don’t require a blender or juicer, so they are simple and easily accessible.

This is a simple beverage recipe that takes only minutes to prepare and includes key ingredients for natural detoxification, including lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, ginger, cinnamon and cayenne pepper. It’s both refreshing and energizing, so give it a try today for the little boost we all need from time to time.

Why Drink the Secret Detox Drink?

Unfortunately, it’s nearly impossible to avoid the everyday chemicals that threaten your health, especially when they’re hidden in our clothing, furniture, soaps and shampoos. On top of that, we are constantly exposed to environmental pollutants, and dangerous chemicals in our foods like heavy metals, pesticides and preservatives.

In order to avoid toxic overload that will leave you feeling fatigued, moody, bloated and achey, it’s a great idea to use detox drinks to help cleanse and purify your body.


Key Ingredients

My secret detox drink contains some of the best ingredients for detoxification. Apple cider vinegar has shown to improve your metabolism and digestive function, while working to cleanse your liver and lymphatic system.

Lemon juice has an alkaline effect on your body and helps to regulate your pH levels. Drinking lemon water, or adding it to your drinks and juices, can help to boost your energy levels, detoxify your body, keep skin glowing (thanks to vitamin C) and improve immune function.

Cinnamon, cayenne pepper and ginger contain therapeutic compounds that help to reduce inflammation, aid digestion and boost your metabolism, which is a helpful step toward weight loss. That’s why drinking ginger tea, for example, is so popular. It contains valuable compounds that boost your health and promote detoxification.

An optional ingredient for your detox drink is raw honey. I like to add raw honey to many of my health drinks and detox smoothie recipes because it’s a nutrient-dense natural sweetener. It adds a little sweetness to this drink while nourishing the body with antioxidants.

  • 16 ounces of warm or hot water

  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger

  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 dash cayenne pepper

  • 1 teaspoon raw, local honey (optional)

One glass of my secret detox drink made using this recipe (with the honey) contains roughly the following:

  • 0.5 grams protein

  • 0.4 grams fat

  • 11 grams carbohydrates

  • 1.2 grams fiber

  • 6 grams sugar

  • 0.8 milligrams manganese (47 percent DV)

  • 753 IUs vitamin A (32 percent DV)

  • 13.3 milligrams vitamin C (18 percent DV)

  • 0.07 milligrams vitamin B6 (6 percent DV)

  • 0.6 milligrams vitamin E (4 percent DV)

  • 0.6 milligrams iron (4 percent DV)

  • 0.3 milligrams vitamin B3 (3 percent DV)

  • 10 milligrams magnesium (3 percent DV)

  • 120 milligrams potassium (3 percent DV)

  • 0.02 milligrams copper (3 percent DV)

How to Make the Secret Detox Drink

The first step in making my secret detox drink is to warm 12 to 16 ounces of water.

Now all you have to do is add your ingredients. Start by adding 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to your warm water.


  1. Warm the water.

  2. Mix all ingredients together.

  3. Best served warm but drink at desired temperature.


This will all help your nervous system just like listening to the best fitness music on the planet will. Having the best workout music in your headphones will help seek kill and destroy all the fat.
