Tomatoes

Now I know most of you think of us as the best workout music known to man. However, if you have a second to check out tomatoes... try pausing the workout playlist for a few seconds and try the recovery magic of tomatoes

Tomatoes are one of the most popular vegetables in the world, and for good reason. They are incredibly versatile and highly nutritious, as well as being a source of both vitamins and minerals. Whether used as an ingredient in salad, pizza, or pasta dishes, on sandwiches, in sauces, or eaten raw, tomatoes are a favorite ingredient among many.

The tomato is a member of the nightshade family, along with potatoes and eggplants. It is native to the western part of South America, specifically Peru and Ecuador. It is thought that the Spanish explorers were the first to bring the Tomato over to Europe and beyond in the 16th century, and eventually to the rest of the world.

Tomatoes are a great source of vitamin C and are high in both lycopene and antioxidants, which can help protect the body from oxidative damage. They’re also high in potassium, folate, and Vitamin A. These nutrients help support healthy vision, immune system functioning, brain development and can protect from certain diseases.

Tomatoes come in different shapes and sizes, from cherry tomatoes to heirloom tomatoes. The two main types of tomatoes are beefsteak and plum tomatoes, with beefsteak tomatoes being the largest and most commonly used. There are also a variety of colors such as yellow, orange, and purple.

One of the most popular ways of using tomatoes is in sauces. Tomato sauce is commonly used on pizzas and in pasta dishes, while crushed tomatoes are a staple ingredient in soups, stews, and chilis. Tomatoes can also be sliced and used as toppings on sandwiches, or diced and added to salads.

Tomatoes are an essential ingredient in many cuisines, with countries such as Italy, Spain, Mexico, and the United States having very popular dishes that feature the tomato.

In short, the tomato is a highly nutritious, diverse, and flavorful ingredient that can be used in a variety of ways. From salads to sauces, and from burgers to pizzas, the tomato is a great addition to almost any meal.

So when you're done listening to your workout music and playlist, enjoy some tomatoes from increased recovery... it will greatly benefit you and your family.
